Many of us are awaiting the Kulberg lists containing the names of
original colonists to the Volga colonies. Does anyone know about the
progress of the translation and availability of these lists?
Secondly, the marriage lists in Germany around 1765 would be of top
interest to many. David Schmidt described a copy of the "Buedingen
Lists" which he has seen. I have attempted to obtain copies from AHSGR
and finally was informed that these lists are not available at the
present time, but are being translated by Brent Mai and will be
available after he is finished.
It does seem strange that several people including ones at Fresno AHSGR
museum have seen such lists, but now the lists can not be found. Does
anyone have information about the marriage lists of Germans who were
heading for Russia in the 1760s?
