BARTMAN, Walter
On March 3, 2001 Mr. Walter Bartman of Vegreville passed away at the

age of 88 years. Walter is survived by his loving wife, Nellie; one
daughter, Marion (David) Stashko of Vegreville; three grandchildren,
Jacqueline (Ernie) Warawa of Vegreville, Chantel (Kevin) Beilner of
Sherwood Park, and Andrea (Corey) Swihun; two great-grandchildren,
Austin and Maclean Warawa; four sisters, Jennie Harris, Nancy (Ian)
Stuart, Rose (Vern) Ross, Emily Bartman, Ollie (Mel) Boehmer;
sister-in-law, Darlene Bartman; also numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Sam and Annie; two brothers, Mike and
Eugene;
and three sisters, Sophie, Mary and Minnie. Prayers Wednesday, March 7,

2001 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, Vegreville.

BOYD, Dr. Donald M. Dr. Donald MacGregor Boyd died on February 28 in
Saskatoon. Survived to mourn him are his loving wife, Collette (nee
Felix) and their six children: Catherine, Edmonton, Alberta; Megan, St.
Walburg, Saskatchewan; Sasha,
Saskatoon; Tara (Drew), Edmonton, Alberta; James, Saskatoon; Mark of
Saskatoon; and four grandchildren, John, Thomas, Haley and Claire. His
father, John Boyd, who practised law in Blaine Lake and his mother, Jean

Boyd (nee McManus) predeceased him. His brothers and sisters are Dr.
Angus Boyd (Mary), Sydney, B.C.; Mary Dantzer (Vince), Vernon, B.C.;
Father Leo Boyd, O.M.I, Armstrong, B.C.; Betty Boyd, Edmonton, Alberta;
Dr. Mark Boyd (Lise), Montreal, Quebec; Father Ian Boyd, CSB, South
Orange, New Jersey. Dr. Boyd was a graduate of the
University of Saskatchewan BA; University of Manitoba, MD. He obtained
specialty qualifications in general surgery (F.R.C.S) from both the
Royal College of Surgeons (England) and the Royal College of Physicians
and Surgeons of Canada. He practised
medicine in Saskatoon, serving that community and its environs for
nearly 50 years. Throughout that period of time he also served the
provincial community as a coroner. The Funeral Mass will be
concelebrated by his brothers, Fathers Leo and Ian Boyd at Our Lady of
Lourdes Church, the corner of 12th and Wiggins at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday,

BRENNEIS, Louise Doreen (nee Altmiks)
On March 4th, 2001 Mrs. Louise Brenneis of Mearns, Alberta passed
away at the age of 61 years. She is survived by her loving husband,
Oliver; her children, Myra (Joe) Dwyer of Mearns, Alberta, Cindy (Wayne)

Pukalo of Spruce Grove, Alberta, Neal (Jeannie) Brenneis of Mearns,
Tammy (Lyle) Quintal of Calahoo, Alberta and Michael (Loreen) Brenneis
of Mearns, Alberta; her 11 grandchildren, Megan, David, Kellie, Joel,
Jesse, Hayden, Austin, Carter, Mackenzie, Madison and Dawson; her
mother, Mary Altmiks of Stony Plain, Alberta; her brother, Robert
Altmiks of Mearns,
Alberta; her two sisters, Lil Altmiks of Edmonton, Alberta and
Bernadette (Gary) Palamarek of Stony Plain, Alberta as well as numerous
nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was predeceased
by her father, Alvin and her brother, John. Prayer Service will be held
on Tuesday, March 6th, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. at the St. Charles Roman
Catholic Church in Mearns, Alberta where a Mass of Christian Burial will

be held on Wednesday, March 7th., 2001 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Paul
Terrio

On March 2, 2001 Mr. Victor Duperron of Atmore passed away at the

Sadly on March 1, 2001 John Alexander Good of Edmonton passed away
at his home, at the age of 73 years. John will be lovingly remembered by

HEIDGER, Alexander Verner
July 25, 1930 - February 26, 2001
On February 26, 2001, Mr. Alexander Verner Heidger of Edmonton,
Alberta passed away at the age of 70 years. He is survived by his loving

son, Marc Galipeau
(Heather) of Ottawa, Ontario; and granddaughter, Chloe of Ottawa,
Ontario.
Mr. Heidger will be greatly missed by his friends at Jasper House.
Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Ottawa, Ontario.

HOKANSON, Ernest R. (Ernie)
On Saturday March 3, 2001, Ernie Hokanson of Edmonton passed away at

the age
of 80 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years,
Rene; children, Robert (Carrie), John (Susan), Sue (John), Joan,
Margaret (Gordon), and Leah (Jeffrey); daughter-in law, Sharon; 17
grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; brother,
Hilding; sister, Irene; and numerous other family and friends. He was
predeceased by his sons, Bruce in 1947, and Paul in 1995. A Memorial
Service will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at

Reverend Brian Kiely officiating. Interment will follow in Glenwood
