In looking for my great aunt's obituary today, I found these surnames. In the
Stillwater, Oklahoma News Press for Friday December 7, 2001:
Rosa Lillie Cain
Rosa Lillie Cain, 86, Perry, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2001, at
Perry Memorial Hospital. Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the First
Christian Church in Perry. Interment will be at the Sumner Cemetery under the
direction of Brown-Sisson Funeral Home.
Cain was born Aug. 23, 1915, on a farm west of Morrison, to
Christian and Wilhelmina (Spahr) Frank.
She was the youngest daughter of eight children born to German
immigrants. Her father made the Cherokee Strip Run for land and proved his
stake in Noble County, southwest of Bills Corner.
Cain attended Oak Grove School. At an early age, she came into
the Christian faith and became a member of the Methodist Church in Morrison.
She moved to Eustis, Neb., in 1941 where she lived and worked
with her sister and brother-in-law, Flora and John Rieker. She and the
Riekers moved to Perry in 1972.
She married Gerald Cain Jan. 10, 1975, and made their home in
Perry. She became a member of the First Christian Church in Perry in 1977. She
was active in the local Senior Citizens organization and was a frequent
visitor at Green
Valley Nursing Home in Perry for many years.
