Willis Morgenstern

Willis C. Morgenstern, 94, of Fort Collins died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, at a
local nursing home.
Mr. Morgenstern was born Feb. 10, 1909, in Oakley, Kan., to Edward
Morgenstern and Dora Anschutz Morgenstern. Mr. Morgenstern married Helen Norene "Hanna"
in 1940 in Denver.
Mr. Morgenstern lived 80 years in the Fort Collins area. He was a chemist at
Ideal Cement for 30 years and Greeley Filter Plant for 10 years. He was a
member of the Elks Lodge No. 804. He enjoyed bowling and gardening. His favorite
quote was "This is heaven," and his favorite dogs were Dix and Trixie.
Mr. Morgenstern is survived by sons Ron Morgenstern and his wife, Janelda, of
Parker and Don Morgenstern and his significant other, Renee K. Frederiksen,
of Loveland; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Morgenstern, of Loveland; five
grandchildren, Troy, Russ, Greg and Suzanne Morgenstern and April O'Loughin and her
husband, Tom; five great-grandchildren, Kyla Justice, Konnor Morgenstern and Jack,
Grace and Sam O'Loughlin.
Mr. Morgenstern was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers,
Roland and Harold Morgenstern; and two sisters, Marie Stitler and Lenora
Schwalm.
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Bohlender Funeral Chapel. Interment
will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
