JOSEPH JOHN GETTIG A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph John Gettig of
Southeast Portland will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Ascension Catholic Church. Bur
ial will be in Willamette National Cemetery.
Mr. Gettig died of heart problems Sunday in his home at the age of 70.
He was born April 1, 1922, in Corwith, Iowa. He served as a chief
pharmacist's mate in the U.S. Navy during World War II and married Wilma Gettig on Dec.
18, 1942, in Kansas City, Mo.
