There are several villages whose Russian name starts off with the pronper noun "Umet" -

The noun "Umet" means:
a) Coaching inn - stagecoach stopover
b) A Khutor in the Steppes

"Khutor" has several connotations from farm to hamlet,
meaning maybe a farming community, might be owned by one main owner with other farmers
living and renting land there.
