Iris Bath


Iris Bath, 87, died Aug. 4, 2005, at home in Fort Morgan after a gallant battle with cancer.

Iris Davis was born Jan. 13, 1918, to Frank and Pearl Hendrickson Davis on the Akron homestead.

She married Jake Bath in 1934. They farmed and raised Angus cattle in Fort Morgan. He died in 1993.

As a member of the Northeast Colorado Angus Association, she raised registered Angus cattle in the Fort Morgan and Fort Collins areas. She was third vice president and worked with the scholarships presented by the Angus Association. She maintained and practiced cosmetology for many years. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary, Presbyterian Church, the Morgan County Jane Jefferson Club and the Larimer County Historical Society.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara, and son, John. Iris is survived by three sons, Richard and Jim, of Fort Collins, and Keith, of Fort Morgan; one sister, LaVon Christensen, of Santa Rosa, Calif.; six grandchildren, Don V. and Rhonda K. Bath, of Fort Collins, Tim Bath, of Estes Park, Randy Bath, of Gillette, Wyo., and Keri and Kent Bath, of Fort Morgan; and five great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Sanctuary, Downtown Campus, in Fort Morgan.
