Age: 80

Residence: Greeley

Tribute: Paul John Hart was born in Briggsdale to John and Emma (Brunmeir) Hart. He attended school in Keota. On Nov. 21, 1952, he married Alice Coleen Brown. They were married 55 years. Mr. Hart was a retired wheat farmer and rancher east of Briggsdale. He moved to Greeley in 1977. He worked for Boyer Construction and for the Pawnee National Grassland, U.S. Forest Service. He retired in 1996.

Mr. Hart enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping in the mountains. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was a past member of Briggsdale Lions Club, serving as president for a year, and the Briggsdale Congregational Church. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Windsor.

Mr. Hart died Friday at Hospice and Palliative Care Inpatient Unit surrounded by his family.

Survivors: His wife Alice of Greeley; his daughter, Jennie Lee Meads and companion Bryan Dickerson of Ovid; a son, Danny Paul Hart and wife Joann of Greeley; a sister, Gloria Schell and husband Charles of Platteville; six grandchildren, Lisa Zitek and husband Merle, Laura Meads, Scott Meads and Sharlene, Melissa and Katelyn Hart; four great-grandchildren, Afton and Holden Zitek, Abigail Meads and Brayden Robson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by: His parents; a sister, Vera Accola; and four brothers, Oscar, Louis, Robert and Harold Hart.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. today at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th St., Greeley.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Stoddard Funeral Home.

Internment: Sunset Memorial Gardens.
