Susan,

Thanks for that info.

St. Joseph's was moved because of the freeway now goes right through where
St. Joe's stood. There are a few other churches that fell victim to the
freeways.
St. John the Evangelist - was on I believe 11th and Brown now on 84th and
Coldspring in Greenfield - primarily a Slovenian parish. Our Lady of
Guadeloupe - gone. Primarily Italian.

There are also several parishes that have combined in to new parishes
because of the shortage of priests here in Milwaukee. Example - Holy Spirit
(Ghost) and St. Barbara's now in St. Barbara's buildings but called St.
Rappel.

So if you can not find info for a Catholic church in Milwaukee check with
the Archdiocese or I will be willing to help if I can. I don't know all of
the changes since there have been several.

St. Anne's and St. Michael's were also German-Bohemian. These parishes are
still going.
