I am looking for more information about George
and Theresa (Dietz) Beck who were married in Ploess,
Bohemia on or about October 28, 1855. George served
in the Civil war and both George and Theresa are
buried in the New Ulm Catholic cemetery. August Dietz
and his wife, Margaretha (Sellner) Dietz were present
at the wedding and I am wondering if August was a
brother of Theresa's.
George and Theresa's daughter, Dorothy Beck,
married my ggrandfather, George Jacob Dietz. When he
died at an early age, she married Leornard Vetter.
I wonder what the connection, if any, may have
been between these two Dietz family. If anyone can
