You can follow up information like this on the LDS site www.familysearch.org
using the Family History Library Catalog link in the righthand column of the
homepage. Do a place search for Solingen and click through the series of
subsequent links. On the Topic Details screen click on the type of record
that would meet your needs. In your case (I "peeked") it looks like the
Evangelical Church records for Solingen stop in 1810 BUT check the Civil
Records. (I ASSUME that back in those days people always married in civil
ceremonies, but in addition in church ceremonies if they so chose, which is
still the case today.) - In case you're not familiar with the German
terms:

Geburten = births
Heiraten = marriages
Tote = deaths

It looks like the first civil records film listed (Title Details screen)
could be useful. If you click on the View Film Notes button you'll get a
screen that gives you the number(s) you need to order the film(s) in to your
Family History Center for viewing at their facility- provided you want to go
this route.
