I am researching Dirksen. My great grandfather's name was John Dirksen who
married Tena Jurgens. He is said to have had brothers, Ole, George, one who
died before emigrating, one---Rhinehard who is supposed to have moved to
Illinois. It is rumoured that Sen. Everett Dirksen was a cousin, however I
have no evidence of that. My grandfather's name was Cornelius Dirksen who
married Lily Lake Crouse . My father's name was John Wilbert Dirksen. My
Great grandfather's death certificate says his father's name was also John
Dirksen and his mother's name was Anna Olka from the Emden/Pilsum area of
Germany. If anyone knows this line or has any information, it would be very
much appreciated!!!
