Hello Karl,
Thank you for the four different posts. Some of the information was new like
the marriage date for my direct ancestor. But I am more interested in the
father, Johann Heinrich Christ and the family records in Alsace-Lorraine
France.
Some of the information you found at LDS site might even have been my own as
I submitted to them about five years ago.

How do I research the father in France/ Germany?

Thank you so much for doing this, even little tid bits are avenues for more
information. THe fact that Anne Catharine "C'erine" Christ and Phillip Jacob
Brobst / Probst married in Oberseebach, Alsace-Lorraine, France in 1720.
Gives me a town to look for her father in!
