There is a Hingst Tree Farm in Pipe Creek close to Bandera,Texas. Are you
related to this family? We have gone there to buy our Christmas tree for the
past three years from this tree farm and the owner said that there was a Christa
Hengst who married a GOHLKE , and she died in 1970.
Going back to another email that you sent to this group, what year where
your Braun's living in Meyersville,Texas? I have the 1860 census for DeWitt
COunty, Texas and they might be listed on this? I seem to recall there were some
Browns listed on this 2860 census, but don't remember any Braun's listed. There
are separate pages listing just those from Meyersville on this census. It is just
not an index, but a actual "picture" of this census that had been filmed and then
put onto CD.
Good luck with your genealogy,
Gwendalynn Gohlke Dunn
