There was a Ferdinand Weigel who owned weigel iron works here ion Austin for
many years on east 1st street. He was also a member of the Austin Saengerunde
on San Jacinto Street. There are some Weigels (7) in the phone book now. If I
were to venture a guess I would say J.Lee Weigel, 179 Red River, 787642
Telephone # 512-515-6245 would be a good beginning source since that appears
to be very close to the old business address.
