Hi Gene, Thanks for the imput. There was a Carl
Schuchardt in Gillespie county, I don't believe this
to be the son of Friedrich. A Carl Emil Schuchardt
came over on the same ship as Friedrich. There was
another Friedrich Schuchardt I found that brought a
wife, Sophie, and children Friedrich and Catherine, on
the ship Gerhard Hermann in 1846.
