Hi Barbara,
Do you have the List of Passengers for the ELISA & CHARLOTTE? I have been unable to find my grtgrt.grdfather Conrad Schmidt, his
wife Augusta Sybille and dgt. Anna Christina(about age 1 or 2??). In his Declaration of Intent he said he had arrived in the US Nov.
4, 1846. I have just gone in circles trying to find him but years ago the Rosenberg Library told me they had no records for that period
of time. Do you think they might have more now? Maybe he arrived first in New Orleans. Do they have pass. records there? Conrad and
family went to Houston where they established a large family of descendents. Maybe some day I will be able to list them all.
If you have the ELISA list I would appreciate a look-up. Is this the same ELISA that is berthed in Galveston? I have been there
several times for the German-Texan Hist. Soc. meetings. Many thanks,
Doris Kirschke Brown ( a Texan in Florida!)
