Judy,
Mecklenburg is a state in northeastern Germany, bounded on the north by the
Baltic Sea, on the west by Schleswig Holstein, on the southwest by Lower
Saxony, on the south by Brandenburg, and on the east by Poland.
The following website is the official WorldGenWeb site for Mecklenburg:
http://pages.prodigy.net/jhbowen
As Ed McMahon used to tell Johnny Carson "Everything and everything you
would ever want to know you can find here".
For a more official site, the homepage of the Mecklenburg Research Club at
http://www.mfpev.de/
has town locators (i.e. matching up towns with their parishes for church
book locations) and other good stuff.
