hi has anyone a MOHR that maybe went to MOORE?.
here is my greatgrandparents are JOHN? JACK? & NANCY
ANN MAYES MOORE.Nancy was born 1845 in RAY Co.MO.
daughter of STERLING & SARAH CARR MAYES.
they were in CLAIBORNE County,TN.as thats where
NANCY's parents returned to in about 1849.
i also have MAYES & a MOORE marriage to a MAYES
in GRAINGER County,TN.these counties are side
by side.also from CLAIBORNE i found in a huge
LEWIS surnames list on my pages a MOORE was
killed at the ALAMO.also his cousin.and in
TARRANT County,TX theres a MOORE cemetery with
MAYES buried there.after many posts no one will
tell me anything.my great gramps left the family
about 1879.he returned some 20 yrs later.an
argument started he left never heard from again.
his son said many yrs later his dad was from
TX. so any help appreciated!.Thank you,
