I found my first German connection outside of Texas last week. His name is
Anton Bauer, b. Nov 1842, Hessen-Darmstadt, Germany, d. 18 May 1902, Savonburg,
Allen County, Kansas. married Sarah Hanna Hibbs about 1871 in Illinois. I
thought I would ask other Texas Germans if they had a connection to him too.
