Anybody have any detailed info on the Comal Horse Guard? Any of these men
buried in Comal or NB cemetery?
Check out http://texas.i-found-it.net/selmahistory.html .
According to the website there was an article published in the San Antonio
Ledger, Aug. 13, 1861, telling of its formation: "This company is composed
of our best citizens most of them having lived here a long time consequently
have see some service, and should Old Abe's army invade our soil they will
be found ready at the sound of the first gun to aid in repelling them."
In the Confederacy they became a part of the Texas Mounted Riflemen.
