Burleson County is closer to Austin, not the town.
You're right, the town of Burleson is in the Ft. Worth area. My aunt
taught school there back in the late 30s or early 40s. She went from there
to Ft. Worth to teach, then went to work at Convair/Consolidated during the
War.
Bryan is about 100 miles east of Austin. Burleson county is west of us.
