Subject: Holtzclaw, Elijah

I am trying to verify, pro or con, the presence of an Elijah Holtzclaw in
Greenville County, SC c. 1785. There is a Taylor family history that lists
him as a settler with others from Culpeper Co. However, I can find no
evidence of an adult Elijah Holtzclaw that would chronologically fit into
this time frame. He is not present in the 1790 census for Greenville Co. or
any of the surrounding counties. My particular line of research goes as
follows: Jacob, John, Joseph, Stephen, Ethel. Ethel was my gggGrandfather.
