Subject: Dr. B. C. Holtzclaw's book on the Holtzclaws

Hi,
I would like to know if there are research notes available from Dr.
Holtzclaw's work on The Holtzclaw Genealogy (Germanna Record No. 14). I have
hit some walls and cannot locate where his information as presented came from.
Any help or hints will be appreciated.
I am searching for John W. Holtzclaw, son of Ethel Holtzclaw (Stephen, Joseph,
John, Jacob). He was born 7 Oct 1842 according to Dr. Holtzclaw. He
supposedly was married to a Harriette ? . There was an infant son buried at
Brushy Creek Baptist Church in 1863. John and Harriette are dismissed as
members of Brushy Creek Baptist Church in 1871. And I have not found any
further mention of them. Dr. Holtzclaw mentions in The Holtzclaw Genealogy a
son in Texas. But thus far my Texas search has yielded nothing.
