Thanks for the fill in on the escheated lands. Yesterday I couldn't even
think of the word "escheated." Just shows what is happening to the memory.

Notice who the bondsmen were for JMS, two Englishman. It suggests there was
little commitment to the German community. The only thing that says JMS was
there is his presence on the 1739 Orange Co. tithe list and he might have
been put there as an "absentee landowner."
