"Chain Carriers for Surveyors" - Abraham Broyles & Solomon Yeager

They performed that duty for Cyrus Broyles 26 Oct 1786, Wash.Co. TN. when he
bought land on Little Limestone Creek adj. to James Butler, Richard Humphreys
and Robert Blackburn. I wonder if it was performed as " the job" or a
"family thing"?
