This "Micall Holt" is probably actually "Michael Holt" and probably Michael
Holt, Jr. at that. If this is correct, then he is the son of the 1717
immigrant Michael Holt and the brother-in-law of the Whilite who was
mentioned as another chain carrier. This Holt family moved to Orange
County, NC in the mid-1700s and some of these Holt lines moved to the
Bedford County, TN area in the very early 1800s.

I have saw much information on this Micall Holt, and have yet to connect my
Holts to this line. My 1st known Holt is Eli Holt b. abt 1805 TN married to
Mary Ann. They are on the 1850 Giles Co TN.
On the same census is a William and Milly Holt both 68 b, VA., Eli Holt age
20 b. TN. This is possibly a grandson, Eli b. 1805 already has a son my the
name of Eli, so it is not his son.
Does anyone out there have any Eli Holts?
Barbara
