The conjunction of the names Yeager and Crigler plus the fact that Preble
County is named suggests that they were from the Germanna community in
Virginia. Even the name Vandyke is to be found in Culpeper Co., VA. If you
researching the Vandykes, be on the lookout for the name Garriott, another
Culpeper name. There was a Garriott Vandyke.
