The title of the book is: Touring the Western North Carolina Backroads

I bought it at Barnes & Noble. It is probably available from Amazon as well.
Cost was $14.95. I've had the book about four years.

The following Holtsclaws are mentioned: Fanny Holtsclaw, James Holtsclaw,
John Holtsclaw and Raney Holtsclaw. These Holtsclaws lived in the Valle
Crucis area settled in 1779 by Samuel Hix (Hicks?) and his son-in-law James
Holtsclaw.

I could not find the mention of a Holtzclaw who was interested in talking
with others about the Holtzclaw family. I thought it was in this book.
