As a marginally educated person to whom definitions are an issue of interest,
I have been enjoying all the educated efforts to clarify the issue despite
its 'non-issue' classification.. Thank you very much, you are a great bunch,
descendants of the Alemans, Bavarians, Cheruscans, Franks, Fisians,
Raetians, Saxons, Suebians, Thuringians, etc., etc. There may even be a
Teutonic descendant, but -- in contrast to the just mentioned Germanic
tribes -- we have very little historical [archeological, cultural, lngiuistic
or mythological] evidence beside the few mentioned bits and pieces. And these
have been debated and are still debatable by persons more qualified than I.
So much for my marginally educated opinion. I rest my case and inquiry. [I
have had no intent to fight by merely asking a question.] Thanks again.
Andreas [the non-teutonic]
