John and all,

I've said it before and I'll say it again. This history of the German
immigrants will never be complete until all the English speaking land
settlers and their families are included in the story. Over the years, I've
attempted to add some additional spice to the stew, but have never felt that
anyone was willing to add my ingredients to their pre-conceived recipes.
You can't just have it all "German". It won't work because that is NOT the
way it came out of the oven.
