Has anyone verified that Alfred N. Huffman, who married Jane Stringfellow
11/18/1845 in Culpeper, was born 1818 the son of Elisha and Elizabeth
(Scales) Huffman?

In Ancestry and Descendants of the Nassau-Siegen Immigrants to Virginia
1714-1750, B. C. Holtzclaw stated on page 356 the above information and
children were William H. born 1846, and Mare E. born 1848.

On page 372, Alfred born April 8, 1797 is listed as the son of John and
Elizabeth (Huffman) Huffman. In the same paragraph Alfred N.'s marriage to
Jane Stringfellow is listed.

If someone can clear this up, I would be most appreciative. I will be able
to give my son-in-law, Toby Huffman, the completed ancestry through Alfred
born April 8, 1787.
