I believe you are correct John and I believe Bachman was Tannenberg's
brother-in-law. At the same time the Hebron organ was being installed
Tannenberg was building the organ at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in
York, PA. So he sent his brother-in-law to assemble and install the organ.
The York organ was to be his 35th and last organ and he died before
finishing the installation.
While tuning the York organ, which was installed on the rear gallery, David
Tannenberg suffered a stroke, fell from the scaffolding, and died three days
later on May 19, 1804. The instrument was first played at his funeral
services and Tannenberg was buried in York.
Wust's time table is off by 2 years for the installation of the Hebron
organ.
