As we are discussing the season and keeping in the spirit of John's note, I
could not help but think about peace as one is bombarded with news footage
of faraway places and crowded stores. Rereading "Hebron" Communion Lists
[Mielke and Blankenbaker] recently, I thus thought how wonderful for a
descendant of one of those hundreds of names on the Christmas Communion
Lists to receive a copy of the book as gift . . .those lists are unique!
Thinking too of all the work which went into its publication. . .
