Suzanne,
There were two within the city limits of Siegen. The second one was the
Martini Kirche. It is located just outside the walls of the lower castle. A
beautiful church which houses many 11th century artifacts. It may be an
older church than the Nicolau Kirche. It served the southern outlying suburb
towns such as Eisern. According to our guide last year this was the church
of John Hoffman of 1714, and Steinsifer of 1750. The beautiful Kemper/Camper
organ there is still in use and we were privileged to here a concert played
there during our visit. Actually our German Cousin Rudy Schneider arranged
this private concert just for us.
