Can you say "overwhelmed"? I've been deluged withrequests to have websites and email addresses added to thevarious surname pages on our website! But, that's good. Lotsmore data there now to help other Germanna researchers.I ask all of you that have your website addresses and emailaddresses already posted to take a look and make sure thedata is complete. Here's what I mean by "complete".It doesn't do the maximum good to just send me your nameand email address and the Germanna family you are doingresearch on. You need to include the line of descent !
fromthe Germanna emigrant down to you. Here's why. If some-one is researching the same family as you, say, KUNTZ orCOONTZ, or whatever spelling, that person needs to knowYOUR line/branch. Sometimes a researcher is looking formissing data on his/her specific line/branch, and if you haveincluded your's from the emigrant down to you, that justmight be the exact one the researcher is looking for!So, if you have an entry, or entries, there, please take alook, and, if there's nothing in your listing except for ageneric "Johann KUNTZ and his descendants" (as anexample), please make a line of descent down to you andsend to me.If you are sending info for a new listing, BE SURE youinclude that data with your email. Here are two good examples of what I mean by line of descent:"Jacob CRIGLER, Nicholas CRIGLER, Aaron CRIGLER,Joel CRIGLER, James CRIGLER, James CRIGLER, JamesHenry CRIGLER, James Henry CRIGLER, James RalphCRIGLER."or"John (Johannes) BROYLES, Jacob (Hans Jacob) BROYLES,Jacob!
BROYLES, James BROYLES, Simeon BROYLES,William M. BROYLES, Herman Lov
ette BROYLES, MaryFrances BROYLES, George William DURMAN (Me)."As you can see, if someone were having trouble with theCRIGLER family, and only knew his/her ancestry back to"James Henry CRIGLER", such a line of descent would beof enormous benefit to that researcher. He/she and youwould immediately tie-in together and could swapinformation. You can go to the main page for "Web Pages and EmailAddresses" and click on the surname(s) to see what's there:I've added several more today and still have several to add.Check out the page often to see if anyone has been addedto the pages for your Germanna families.Regards,SgtGeorgeGeorge W.
