Betty,

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. The Ker(r)
family were indeed Scottish factors, originating in the Northern Neck of
Virginia, and also in Middlesex and Essex Counties. Their records abound in
this area, and many have been written up in several articles.We can't force
people to llook past Culpeper County in this case. So many problems can be
solved if people would go back in time to where these people started. But,
some poeple just can't get that in their heads. Jumping ahead to Augusta
County is not the proper path to follow. That came later.
