Hello, List!

I'm in search of more information about Ambrose (or Ambrosius) OEHLER,
who came from Germany to the Cincinnati area in about 1828. He is found
near a Sylvester OEHLER, in the 1840 census. [Both are written and
indexed as O Ehler.]

Ambrose and his wife Eva, along with George and Theresa WERTH, donated
land to start St. James Catholic Church in about 1843, after which
Ambrose and his wife moved on to Dubuque County, Iowa. Ambrose and his
second wife later moved to Delaware County, Iowa, where Ambrose died in
1878.

Anybody have connections?

Thanks!
EB
