October 11, 1929
Mrs. S. J. Gibson
Marbel Falls, Texas

Dear Mrs. Gibson:

In reply to your letter of October 9th, you are advised that because of the
fact that you did not receive a pension payment for the quarter which ended
August 3st in no way effects your rights as a pensioner and you have not been
taken off the pension roll as indicated by you your letter. The reason that
you did not receive pension payment for the August quarter was on account of
an amendment to the Confederate Pension passed by the Second Called Session
of the Forty-First legislature, and all pensioners under seventy-five years
of age did not receive a warrant for the August quarter. On account of your
application for pension showing that you are only sixty-nine years of age no
pension warrant could issue to to you for the August quarter, however,
pensioners under seventy-five years of age will receive payments of $25.00
for the quarter which will end November 30th. At the time you filed your
application for pension which is dated September 29, 1913 you were only
fifty-three years of age. According to this information you are only
sixty-nine years of age at this time.

Yours very truly,

Comptroller of Public Accounts
