This is my late husband's Giles family. My son wants to know about this and has asked me to work on it for him. I know my husband was Walter Hollis Giles, his father was William Hobert (m. Sarah Alice Ruff); His father was Aaron J. (m. Evaline or Adaline McMahan) and his father was a William Giles (m Nancy ??). This family was originally from Cocke Co, Tn (east tn) Aaron & Adaline had four children:
John, Wm Hobert;Arizona (m. Lunsford) and Jennie or Jeannie (m. Von Schultz[not sure of spelling]...
They all lived in Lawrenceburg (Lawrence Co.) TN.

Also, William Hobert has one daughter still living and she said her mother Sarah Alice Ruff, said her dad died before she was born(Oct.1901). Her mother's maiden name is unknown but after married to Ruff she married a Samuel Hill.
Don't know if he was from East Tn or if she met and married him in Lawrenceburg. The only name I have for her is Dovie Hill.

Any info you can furnish will be helpful, although I have met some of the children of these folks. It's been almost 30 years since I've seen them.
