My GILMORE/LEE/SMITH/GRIDER/PYLES/CRAMER/JENKINS connection
It is so confusing, since everyone kept marrying back into the family.

My big problem is figuring out who(Phebe GILMORE) my great grandmother's
parents are.
This is a long post, broken out as a list, relationship, then dates. Hope
you can make it through it.

My great great grandmother's sister married my great grandfather's 1/2
brother. My great grandfather's 1/2 brothers daughter married my
grandfather, and when she died my grandfather married her 1/2 cousin and my
grandmother.

Jinnie LEE m. ?GILMORE/GALLYMORE
their daughter -Sarah GILMORE/GALLYMORE, m. David SMITH
daughter of Sarah and David SMITH =Sarah Ann SMITH , m. William Patterson
GRIDER
2 daughters of Sarah Ann and William Patterson GRIDER =
-Nancy GRIDER, m. Francis M. PYLES, and Arlebell GRIDER m. Ben F. CRAMER
daughter from Nancy and Francis PYLES = Melvina Milinda Ann PYLES m.
William H. CRAMER.
daughter from Arlebell GRIDER and Ben F. CRAMER =Nancy CRAMER, m. James
Edgar JENKINS
when Nancy CRAMER died, James Edgar JENKINS m. Delores Elenea CRAMER,
daughter of William H. CRAMER and Melvina Milinda Ann PYLES.

The 1860 Census shows Pheba b. 1830, TN and William CREAMER, b. 1828, KY as
husband and wife.
(Phebe/Pheba, was a GILMORE/GILMER/GALLYMORE)
Barton City, MO 1870 census shows
CRAMER (changed it toCramer from- CREAMER) .
Pheba (Gilmore)CRAMER and William CRAMER (Pheba, I have as Phoebe)
Children:
Andrew 2 years and John "I" or "S" 13 years old b. IN
William H.(Wm. Harrison, age 6 years , b. MO) = my great grandfather
John CRAMER (brother of William Cramer)b. KY, has a child born in KS.

1880 Census Barton City, shows Phoebe, Andrew J, and William H.
(William-the father, must have died between the 1870 & 1880 census.
Can't read notes, something showed Union Township (there is a Union and
Union County in KY?) Pheba as a Housekeeper b. TN and William CRAMER as a
farmer from KY

William H. CRAMER is 1/2 Brother to Ben Franklin CRAMER, b. Aug 1855, d.
1930(Ben and William H. are buried in Bethel Cemetery in Gravette, AR)

Ben Franklin CRAMER, b.Aug, 1855, Lamar, Barton Co., MO. d. 1930 Hiwasse,
Benton Co., AR, m. Mindley Arlabell GRIDER, b. 18 Feb1861 in Garfield AR,
d. 1945 buried at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs.
Children in order: Bertie, Anna, Rosa Elizabeth, Nancy, Benny, Dolly,
Charlie, J.H. (all born in AR, Benton Co.?, Dolly and J.H. could have been
born in Westville, OK)
(note there may have been 1 son born to Ben Franklin, from an earlier
marriage named Ben or Henry)

The above Nancy CRAMER b. April 27, 1892 Bentonville, Benton County AR, d.
1920's (my records show would have been about 1925 or 1926) died in Watts
or Stilwell OK of Cancer. The 1900 Census shows Nancy still alive.)

Nancy CRAMER (daughter of Ben F. CRAMER and Mindley Arlabell GRIDER)married
my grandfather, James Edgar JENKINS.(he later married Delores CRAMER, my
grandmother, and Nancy's 1/2 cousin)

Mindley Arlabell GRIDER, b. 18 Feb. 1861, and sister Nancy GRIDER, b. 1844.
Mindley GRIDER married my great grandfather's 1/2 brother Ben Franklin
CRAMER.
Nancy GRIDER married my great great grandfather Francis(Frank) M. PYLES,
who is the father of my great grandmother Melvina Milinda Ann PYLES, who
married William Harrison CRAMER.

Parents of Mindley Arlabell and Nancy GRIDER
William Patterson GRIDER b. 1824 m. Sarah Ann (Sally) SMITH, b. 1826

Parents of Sarah Ann SMITH
David Smith and Sarah GILMORE/GILMER/GALLYMORE
(both born ca 1800?)
I have a note from Nona Budd in CA, that states Sarah GILMORE's parents
were Jinnie LEE, and ? Gilmore/Gallymore and was part Indian.

Parents of William Patterson GRIDER
Moses Hare GRIDER, d. Johnson County AR, m. Mary POWELL
(William Patterson GRIDER ?b. Williamson County TN, 1824, was in Johnson
County AR until at least 1874

(Phoebe Ann Gilmore, b. 1830 who married the above William CREAMER b.
1828, has to be from the Jinnie LEE and ?GILMORE/GALLYMORE connection, but
I can't figure out the dates....something doesn't seem right.

Heellllp! Thank you, Linda JENKINS-Wensel
