Subject: Gilmores in Louisiana, 1880's to 1919

My Lawrence Co. Ohio Gilmores, sons of Matthew and Margaret
Coffee Gillmore/Gilmore, seem to travel back and forth to
LA. Darius Gilmore's first wife Edith Chinn, died Baldwin,
LA. Feb. 1884, after her death Darius returned to Lawrence
Co.
At Darius's death Aug. 1919, three of his brothers, Lon,
John and Sinnett are in LA. I found Sinnett in WVA. but
I have found no information on Alonzo/Lon or John Gilmore
in Ohio or WVA. The youngest son, Elijah marries in OH. to
Wealthy Massie, then no further information. He is not listed
in the 1919 obituary. Francis Gilmore, another son, disappears
after being found in 1880 Cabell Co. WVA. census. also not
listed in the obit.
Are these names familiar to any of our subscribers?
