Carina,

I would most appreciate the microfilm info. Many of the Columbiana County
clan are related to my William (son of Richard and Revolutionary War vet)
who migrated from Cumberland County to Westmoreland County, PA. I have
copies of his will and that of his grandson. I'll gather what info I have
relating to Ohio and transmit it to you soon.

Have a great day,
Bob

because like you I haven't really seen a connection. I do think there is
one, but further back around Richard and David or one generation before.

Cumberland/Lancaster Co, Pa and looking for Gilston and Gilson references in
wills and probates, which help me by placing the Gilston ancestors in
specific locations for specific time frames. This has been helpful and very
interesting.

transcribed wills prior to 1853 in which I found some Columbiana Co, Gilson
names that I hadn't seen before. One was a Michael Gilson around 1806 as
witnessing a will. I have no clue who he is.

microfilm. I really feel the only way to find out if we all connect and
where we connect is to share info. You never know which brick walls will
fall down with info from a seemly unrelated Gilson.
