Can anybody help me with finding out about my g grandfather, Samuel Thomas Jackson, living in Caerphilly in 1881, then known by the surname of Trickett, born 1869 in Bristol or Herefordshire. His parents were Hannah and John Trickett , known in 1901 as Jackson. They lived in Wernddu Row. John Jackson (Trickett) was a Nottinghamshire brickmaker, and may have been an overseer at the brickworks in Wernddu. Hannah Jackson died in 1925 aged about 93. I particularly want to find out why the surname changed.
