Hi Listers,
John gave us this most helpful website in his message:-

The Old-Maps website at http://www.old-maps.co.uk/

Recently on my trip back home, I wandered down Brithweunydd Road and
Cemetery Road in Trealaw. I was looking for the Bute Hotel which once stood
there. Asking a couple of locals I was at last directed to the place where
it was known to have once stood. This was opposite the Cemetery gates, so a
good position for a pub.

Back home, using old-maps I was able to trace the road and then clicking on
the arial photograph button, I was then able to see the gates of the
cemetery and look across the road at the place where the Bute once stood.
Then I was able to tell my cousin exactly where it was. So a great way of
using the map available to us. Anyone else have any tips?

I too am sure that Jo's helpful details on how to use street maps was a
great help to many on the List who haven't given the maps a try.

As for Josephine bragging that she is able to get down on the floor - well
all I can say is - I wish!!

Jill
