St. Mary the Virgin is still there in Bute Street with its distinctive twin
towers with mini-pyramid roofs. Its full title is St. Mary the Virgin and
St. Stephen the Martyr. It is rather 'high church' and has a Sunday 11am
Eucharist according to the Church in Wales Llandaff Diocese web site. It was
opened in 1842, in theory to replace the old St. Mary's (still commemorated
in St. Mary Street in the centre of Cardiff) which had been washed away a
century or more before when the Taff changed its course.

I can't seem to find any image on the internet. There is a picture in 'Tiger
Bay and the Docks' by Dan O'Neill which I can scan for you if you want. Let
me know.
Jeff
