According to Caren, she has a copy of Berteniece's death certificate.
(She is mailing it to me and I should get it in the mail in a few days, if
not today.) It does show Mary E. Deskin as Berteniece's mother, but not the
one that we originally thought it was. Evidently our Mary Deskin was a
Swearengin before she married Joseph and married a Deskin after his death.
I am going to check and see if there is a marriage certificate for these
two. Darlene
