Hi Caren,
Here is a quote from my cousin about the photo " This picture
was taken in Chino Calif after 1879. He is wearing a badge of some kind.
The picture studio is H.H.Frye on second street in Chino established
1879." He scanned in the front of the photo but not the back. Acutally what
he did was take a picture of the picture with a digital camera. It is kind of
angled and not a straight on shot. Could I send it to the list as an
attachment or does the list not allow that? I know that sometimes mailing
lists strip attached files.
If you are trying to untangle Glines lines in CA keep in mind that I live in
Santa Rosa, about an hour north of SF. My local library (Sonoma County) has
the California censuses but only the soundex for 1880. It has quite a few
volumes of California county histories, marriage indexes, burial records etc.
