Sonia: From the Glines Family Bible (Kane County Version) George Granville Glines was born July 29th 1863 to Timothy and Eliza Jane Barnhill Glines. He married in 1899 Nellie Amelia Pecore. The daughter of Peter Pecore. George and Amelia had one daughter Mabel Jane Glines born 21 August, 1907. She married Albert R. Doty on 9 Sept. 1935. Then had no issue.
George Granville is a interesting story or unsolved mystery. George is buried with his parents in East Batavia Cemetery( he died 16 Dec. 1907) . Nellie is buried with her parents in East Batavia Cemetery about 20 feet from the Glines plot. After George died their daughter lived with a Mrs. Smith and not with her mother Nellie. Years ago I talked to Mable Jane Doty and asked why she didn't live with her mother and what did she know about her father George. She told me that she didn't know her Mother very well and she remembered going to her funeral. She didn't know her father because he died the same year he was born. Her only comment about living with the Smiths was that is was a "FARIRY BOOK STORY". I asked her what she meant and she changed the subject.
I have looked for divorce papers and guardian ship papers and came up short. I believe Mable is dead now so the story will go untold, unless I find some documents showing custody.

To All..............
And especially Tim because I know this belongs to you.

4 Ward Batavia, Kane, Illinois
George Glines Jun 1866 age 34 Ill NY Ireland
Nellie Mar 1868 age 32 NY Canada (France) NY

This is George Grandville Glines or do you call him George Granville Glines
and his wife Nellie Amelia Pecore

But here again the Census is not agreeing with the date I originally had for
him, I used to have 29 Jul 1863, and this is saying Jun 1866.

He is supposed to be in the East Batavia Cemetery, Kane, Illinois, so have
you seen his Headstone? And since this is the son of your Timothy Glines or
if this line belongs to anyone else.

Does anyone have an answer to this? Or Tim what do you want put in his record?

Sonia
