Hello Hilary,
I have the 1861 Gloucestershire Census from Archive CD
Books and the 1871 from S&N. Of course the quality of the images depends on the
quality of the originals but I would say that the CD Archive Books version is
easier to read.

I am waiting for the 1841 Gloucestershire census from Archive CD Books,
ordered nearly two weeks ago but the 1871 ordered from S&N last week arrived within
a few days, so i must get to work transcribing the data of the Newmarket
hamlet for my University assignment.

Archive CD Books have not completed the production of the 1871 census, which
is why I went for S&N. I have used the 1851 census [which you did not
mention] which has been transcribed by the GFHS...very easy.

Hope this helps,
Janet Heskins
